Sigma 85mm Art

I can't speak for the Otus but I used the G Master extensively and it is an amazing lens. I can tell you the Sigma focuses way faster and is just as sharp if not sharper. Although the focusing on the G Master could of been due to the mirrorless focusing g issues they suffer from as well.Seems like a great lens, maybe only beat by the Otus and the Sony 85mm GM lens.

Nice photos, but honestly I cannot judge the quality on the size uploaded, I'd need to see full quality, no crop 1:1 of which I'll zoom in and inspect all details.
Fingers crossed that the lens 'isnt that great', my wallet tells me 85mm 1.8G is more suitable

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it really is. The 85mm 1.8g is a hell of a lens but it catches a horrible flare. The Sigma doesn't suffer from this issue. I'll be shooting another engagement session in about 4 days so I will really put it through it's paces.

More I look at these images the more I like them. But not sure if it's the lens or your processing? Mind sharing a bit of your processing to get these results?
I shoot in Kelvin 5600 deg.
Processed in Lightroom. Sometime use a Mastin preset like Portra 400 because sometimes is shoot film and hybrid my sessions.
Adjust clipping with the "J" trick.
Sometimes correct for lens distortion or CA but that's about it. Fix and unsightly blemishes or hairs if possibles. I'm a quick 1 min edit unless I'm pulling an image into PS to really showcase something and make it artistic.
When I pulled these images in LR they didn't have a lens profile just yet for the 85mm ART.
