Hi everyone. Thanks for letting me in. I have a new (To me) D3100. Love the heck out of it so far. Last year I picked up an SB-22 flash and was inquiring as to if these two are compatible and can I use this flash without damaging my camera.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again

The SB-22 has a nice and low trigger voltage, so it won't damage your camera. You will have to use it in non-TTL Auto mode  as it won't meter with your body and if I remember correctly, you can't reduce power manually.
