I use the Nikon ViewNX 2 launch transfer function. I insert the SDHC memory card and it automatically opens. It defaults to have all files checked for uploading and I have it set up to save to correct file path in a new directory starting with the date the photo was taking. The only thing I need to do is edit the description which is placed after the date on the directory name. It is also easy to uncheck the obvious photos that are not worth uploading. Since I only have personal photos, searching by date works for me.
