Hi

I recently purchased my first DSLR camera, a D5200 Kit which included the VR2 18-55mm lense, most features on the camera are excellent apart from one, the video shooting.

When i'm taking a Video the picture is sharp and in focus (I use Continuous Auto Focus setting) but when i move the camera there is what looks like a very artificial zig-zag like fuzzy pattern around the subject edges, e.g. a person, the fuzzy pattern stops the instance the camera stops moving. I don't believe this is the auto-focus feature as i can hear and see the feature working to keep the subject in focus without this distortion present, this only happens when the camera is moved.

Another strange feature of this "problem", when viewing the video on the camera screen i don't see the distortion, but when viewing on another device, e.g. TV, PC, the pattern is very obvious and ruins the video.

I'm not sure if this is a problem with the camera or I'm doing something wrong?

I've been asking uncle Google for an answer but found nothing so far, would appreciate any help, thanks.

Interlacing on a non-interlaced viewing device?
