Yea...the sports photogs I know use it extensively. Since I don't have to caption (right now) and haven't had the info before, it is something I just need to get in the habit of doing. My intention is to begin adding captions for some of the images so it will definitely come in handy...They get very specific on their audio notes including details about the time in the game and the situation when the event occurred. It also helps them quickly go through to the images that have the audio associated so that they can edit and publish those images quickly before reviewing any other images.

Just found out that the d5 has a feature that fine tunes your lenses automatically to the body without setting up targets and all that mess. Now, how well it works I'm not sure, but it's super easy, so hopefully it does
D500 has that too. Looking forward to using it, waaay simpler than the current method.

Station Inn if you like Bluegrass...always good music there...but, there are plenty of good bars with all flavors of music if not! I'm looking forward to checking out the images no matter the subject!

Going to spend the weekend in Nashville. Hoping to hit some bars with live music and dim lighting to give it a decent test.
You might want to get out your unused NC filter. I'm not sure how alcohol affects the coating on lens elements. I know you're not gonna be purposely dunking your camera in beer but, from the times when I frequented bars, ... well... stuff happens.

I'd be willing to bet it has survived at least one night in a bar without harm!
