Sometime before midnight (whatever time zone you are in) this Sunday, 31 January 2016, post the best photo you have taken this week. Any subject, any style--just give us your best shot.

If you can, list your EXIF info and any special lighting setups you may have used.

P.S. The editing exercise has started up again, so come play with us.

P.P.S. Since January is nearly over, this is the last time I'll mention this...but go post your best photos of 2015 here! We'd love to see the best of what you've all been up to all year (it's also a great exercise to force yourself to choose only 3-6).

We seem to have had quite a few new people join up recently... No better way of getting in the swing of things and show us your favourites! We all love photos, that's why we are all here. Would love to some some more best of's in there.

Wonderful images from everyone this week!

Mine is a pretty humble attempt at cosmetics photography for a Project 52 Pros. Tried out a light table for the first time (totally homemade--shot a speelight with a MagMod sphere attached up through some white paper on top of glass). Could be fun to play with more. I'm not sure it was the best approach for this subject...oh well! No more time or energy to spend on it, unfortunately, and it could use a bit of fine tuning with some black cards since I've lost the edges of the chrome on the brush. :)

Beautiful shots by all this week!

I'm late as usual and this week was what I would call the calm before the storm.  Next weekend starts baseball season for my son's team and I am shooting a horse show the following weekend.  It was a beautiful 70 degree day yesterday and I took my camera out with me but ended up just enjoying the day and not taking a single photo.

So, here is the one shot I took this week...since it was so nice out, my wife and I sat out on the porch last night chatting and planning out our week.  Our son's dog is staying with us during his baseball season since he will be on the road and doesn't have anyone at school who can stay with the dog.  We hadn't been out on the porch in several weeks and he had left one of her dog beds sitting in one of the chairs with a blanket over it.  We also hadn't been paying much attention as the dogs ran out in the yard, came in and laid down for awhile before they repeated the process.  It had gotten a bit chilly as the sun had gone down and I looked over to see his pup curled up in her bed with her nose tucked in the blanket for a bit of extra warmth.  I took the photo to send to him but thought I'd share here as well since this is my only photo for the week!

I promise something better next week :)!
