My AF-S Nikkor 80-200 f/2.8 D lens will not autofocus on my new D750. However, it does AF on my friend's D810.

The AF switch on the camera has been turned off and on repeatedly.

AF-C and AF-S are set to "release". AE-L/AF-L is set to AE.

It has been suggested on another forum that the DC/DC converter on the lens should be replaced.

It could be the converter or it could be oxide on the high-current pins. Cleaning the contacts on both body and lens don't hurt anything and might help. De-Oxit is easy to use and the residue prevents new oxide from forming.
