For once I abstained from family and went on a Christmas cruise to Cozumel. Here's the breakdown. IMO Cozumel is way overrated. Take the cruise ship industry out of there and it becomes Gilligan's Island without the castaways. The Mayan ruins pictured are also overrated. I guess I should have went to the other site? Wild Iguanas are intimidating to look at, but they're cool! Otherwise the cruise was way better than my family ever could be! It may be the start of a new tradition?

The ruins look pretty cool.  The rest, touristy.

There are several ruins sites to pick from. I think we picked the wrong one. The site on the coast is probably the better choice as well as the one that's in all the brochures. Oh well . . ... you've seen one ruin you've seen them all.
