Going out in the dark of winter nights… ignoring all dangers,
acting like a tourist in your own town, taking pictures!

Excellent set, Peter!  Looks like that little Z and yourself will be good friends.  Did it come with the FTZ adapter?  One other question, is it as good or better than your D750 for low light photography?

The jury is still out on that comparison. The DR is lower at high ISO, but the oil-painting-like character above ISO 45000 might be nice if it is repeatable.

I did get an FTZ adapter as well as both DX Z-lenses.

Some more with the Z50, but with the FTZ and an AF-S 24/1.8 ED.

That's another great set you posted today.  I didn't expect the FTZ adapter to do that well, but it seems to work fine.  Please keep us posted as to your thoughts on this little wonder.

This time I got out at dusk... Not as absurdly low light levels as the evening shots, and I exposed for a lightish sky.

This isn’t exactly to the brief for the challenge - in that there was the light from my torch, but it’s an old pic and I’ll make sure to take some more suitable ones soon!

This is a perfect example where the quality of the document
is superseding that of the photograph… well done!

I am getting to like the noise characteristics of this little camera when pushing the boundaries.

I agree when I viewed the red bridge, it's more like fine grain and non-offensive.  I'm wondering what's the most you could crop or print and still have it look that good.
