I took this image during one of my walks past fall.

Which one do you prefer? :)

Taken with d750 and Tamron 24-70 VC

I like them both, but the clean graphic effect in the monochrome speaks more *to me*. The colours in the colour version are interesting in another way.

I like the B&W also.  Try this.  Bump up the contrast a bit and crop out some of the grass at bottom of the image.  See what that looks like.  I like this image.

Thank you for your suggestion, etphoto! I listened to you and here is another take on b&w version:

What do you think of this one?

I think its an improvement.  What is that at the bottom right of the image?  Its on all three of the images.

Yeah, I guess that is what it is. On my phone so it's harder to see.

It appears small on my phone as well. Does anybody have a suggestion regarding my signature? :)

How do you apply it? It could stand to be a bit larger without getting obtrusive if you made it semi-transparent. If you use LR to add your watermark, you can reduce the opacity, increase size and save as a new export preset.

I have it saved as a pdf and then added in Lightroom when the image gets exported as jpg. I will try what you suggested, Peter. Thank you!

While I probably SHOULD add my watermark from LR when exporting, I don't.  I add it when I upload to my sites.  People order prints from my site and, when added at the site, it doesn't appear in the ordered print.  If I added from LR, it would be on the print since it is part of the uploaded file.  By doing it that way, I don't have it on images I upload here or Facebook, etc., but it saves me from having to do multiple LR exports and saves disk space so I've accepted that the ones I upload there don't have it.  Might end up changing my process, but so far it has worked out pretty well...

I still do it the old fashion way and when I decide to add it to an image I add it in PhotoShop. That way I can choose where to pick where on the image I place it.
