Hi,
Anyone who owns a D7100 knows the one downfall to an otherwise terrific DX camera. The small buffer.
Nikon has just chosen to do a firmware upgrade to two of their more expensive FX models, but not the D7100 buffer issue.
The D7200 has a better buffer and you don't need to buy the WiFi adapter to sync to your cell or tablet.
But I hear issues with legacy software, both Photoshop and Lightroom.
Therefore with keeping the D7100 I have used menu tweeks like just Jpeg, small size, bigger crop, etc. when shooting sporting events.
I bought a battery pack as well. But I have seen an improvement with faster SD cards.
If you look at tests for SD you will find Sandisk the best and close to their reported specs, unlike Lexar and others.
I now have as my main card a Sandisk rated at 80Mbs/Sec Write.
I was hunting around the last week to see if there were any sales on the higher 95Mb card and low and behold I found a card on sale that I didn't even know existed.
HERE is the Best Buy link. $60 for a 280 Mb/s 32 GB SD card at a $120 savings. I payed more for my 80.
I just ordered it. I will post the results in a couple of weeks.
GRAB IT UP ALL YOU D7100 OWNERS!
Happy Holidays.
