Powerful images of a city.  I like # 8 & 10, but that man sitting on the side walk is excellent.

We visited the city in August 2016 so I recognise the high viewpoint location. I am wondering where the helical staircase is? Is it accessible by the public?

Hi, the staircase is within "The Lighthouse" on Mitchell Lane, it leads up to the viewpoint where the cityscape pictures were taken.

The man on the street and the water reflection, stunning.

Nice job!

*I wish I could take a picture as the one of the man on the street, however, I feel too creepy when I take pictures where people are the main focus - without knowing the people, still have not been able to breach the barrier.

Thanks,

It's a matter of timing, luck and having the determination to take shots like the one of the homeless guy on the street. I've taken quite a few recently, I'm always aware of being respectful towards the subject and maintaining a discreet distance.

Is it expected to offer a monetary contribution to a street person or street performer when taking their photograph?  I often feel as i should.  Is there an expected protocol ?

I try to read the situation, if the person is performing then I tend to give them something. If they are a street person then I judge it at the time. I did give £1 to the guy once I'd taken his picture.

Aha! We took the lift. My wife doesn't do stairs very well so I never even looked. The escalator was out of service the day we visited too! Well, there's an excuse to revisit. :D
