I propose pictage.com to my wedding clients and they are always very pleased with quality.

Personally I do print my work at local shop.

I've used Snapfish in the UK, never had an issue with service or quality.

White House Custom Colour for me and my clients. Great quality, fast turnaround. Unfortunately I'm charged a bit of a premium since I'm Canadian but their price/quality still makes me happy. I think they may have free shipping within the US.

you can request test prints from most labs for free.  I did my own informal test with a couple images and compared many labs on color correction and non-color corrected images.  Millers came out best for portrait color correction and Bay was near the top for both color corrected and non-color corrected for both landscape and portraits.

I use WHCC, ACI Labs, and H&H Color Lab.  You do have to have a business license to order from ACI and H&H.  Also Blackriver almost forgot them.

Just had to revive this thread to say that I just used ProDPI for the first time, and the quality is amazing, as is the variety of products they offer. Prices are quite reasonable too.

Don't know if they ship outside US/Canada.

Never heard of prodpi, but their site looks a little overwhelming. I don't like how the prices aren't next to each item you select -- you have to download a huge price list in pdf form to see everything. It looks complicated to place an order, too.

On the plus side, prices do look reasonable and they offer a ton of services.

Once you get their ROES set up, the prices are much easier to find. Initially I wasn't impressed with their website and pricing guide, but I plowed through anyway because they had been reviewed so highly. I was pleased enough with the quality that I am glad to have overlooked the poor site design. The ROES is quite simple to use.

They offer free samples (5 8x10s), and those were good enough that I ordered several more prints--some mounted 16x24s and a few more 8x10s. They arrived Monday and look great!
