Still getting to grips with this new lens.
I had the camera on the tripod with a focussing rail. F/4.5 1/400 sec ISO 125
18 shots stacked in CombineZP
May I ask which rail system do you use? I am interested in getting one for myself.
Urban, I have just ordered a Novoflex Castel XQ II to replace my old Novoflex that I bought used over 20 years ago. The old one would cost too much to refurbish.
They are much easier to get in Europe than the Really Right Stuff rail and *much* more precise than the cheap rails on e-bay. For stacking you need the best you can afford as every little movement means artifacts you need to attend to in post.
I had plans to get a Cognisys system, but I will need a new body or two in the next year or so, which means less money for wants and concentrating on needs for the time being.

Thank you, Peter! I know we had this conversation before. I will look into that. I know the RRS can be very hard to find in Europe.
This is what I bought.

Cheap, cheerful and does the job brilliantly. No complaints at all.
