Screen protectors for protecting your cameras LCD screen. Does anyone use them? How effective are they?

I use them always, they show up to 95% clarity so make no real effect on the screen, there are expensive options however i purchase ones on ebay for £2.50 approx for a set of 6.. they are slighty thicker than thoese made for phones and really do go on easy and are worth using..

I have never used one. I here the new cameras have special glass that does not scratch easy.

Heck my D40 has been all over with me, even Alaska, with no screen problems.

Peace

One came already attached with my D7000, I haven't taken it off. It doesn't detract from LCD viewing in the slightest.

I've always put plastic protectors on, but I've decided to go naked with my D7100 to see what thehguts is with the screen, see how tough it is. So far so good after a few months.

Thanks all for your great responses!  I too have had the D7100 for a few months without a protector, and was debating whether or not it was worth it.  now I even know where to go to get them.  Thanks again all!

I don't use them but as I change bodies avery two years, they dont really have time to scratch.

Anyway, I take really care of my material. :P

I have glass type screen protectors on all my cameras due to the nature of what I use them for, and they can be a little on the pricey side, but  better than having to get a new screen fitted.

I get them all via e bay

I always put a GGS screen protector on my cameras. They don't cost much & seem to work well.

Never used them and haven't had a problem yet, though I don't tend to drop my stuff ever
