Hi There,

I have a Nikon D5200 and I have a bit of an issue trying to get it apart to fix a problem. I am having the shutter (Error press shutter release button again)
I can't afford a pricey repair on the camera so I have been trying to get the cover off to clean and lubricate the gear on the bottom. On other models this was pretty easy, the bottom just came off, but this one seems to be more involved. I found most the screws, but there still seems to be one holding the case together and I can't see it. It's near the dial at the top where you set the camera to manual or automatic, scene etc. The screw must be in that location somewhere. I know there is a screw under the rubber thumb grip, and three under the rubber eye viewfinder, but there seems to be something I am missing.
Can anyone suggest where this screw might be?

Also, is the gear still easy to locate once the cover is off?

Thanks.
Gerald.

Gerald, did you ever discover where that screw was? I am having the exact same problem and it seems to be just that one screw near the +- Diopter wheel
