Wow! You got some great images, Rob! I think 10 is probably my favorite (though it's hard to choose).

I really like Edinburgh--such a photogenic place. Maybe someday I'll make it to the tattoo at the castle--it's on the bucket list. :)

Thanks Nicole, it was a fantastic day out, I went to the History of Photography exhabition in the morning then spent the rest of the day walking around. I was lucky enough to meet Fionnbharr Ó Súilleabháin, an Irish photographer who specialises in calotypes photography (it's his camera I have taken pictures of), he's busy putting together a collection of pictures of Edinburgh for an upcoming tv show. his site is well worth a look. http://www.fionnbharr.com/

Oh and yes, the tattoo is a must see event, the whole of July and August is perfect for visiting, at the moment we have a the book festival, food festival and the start of the music festival on, then in the coming weeks is the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.....a whole month of shoes, comedy and street entertainment. Book those flights and get over here. :D

You ever see a photo that you really  like but you just aren't sure why?. It just keeps drawing you back. That is the b/w street shot you posted.

Thanks, I've had a few comments about that shot, it's one of my favourites from that day. Also not sure why :)

If only it were that simple! I'd do it in a heartbeat. :) Alas, time and mostly money always interfere.

I also find that street shot very appealing...something about those lines...
