I posted in the shout box. A bit lightly about being a new member. It got me to wondering how long I had actually been a member here. WOW it is over a year already. It amazes me how fast time goes by as I get older. I turned 59 last week I know I have slowed down a little . But is that any cause for time to speed up?

At any rate I do enjoy what little time I get to spend here.

Hey--you're a senior member! Glad you're here!

I've noticed that time speeding up with age phenomenon too...sigh.

And happy birthday (belated).

 :)

I will be 58 this Sunday. Hard to believe how fast time flies. That's the tough part about being this age in the 21st century. Growing up watching the Jetsons.  Little computers and lots of digital stuff, but no flying cars.

Happy Birthday a bit early. I am  sort of glad cars don't fly.

57 last month I know how you feel.  I've also been a member for about a year and was new to photography.  I never expected to learn so much on the site.   Thankyou everyone.

I'm packed up for vacation- taking all 1950s Nikkor lenses for the Leica.

Too funny- when i turned 40 I told a friend and his wife something that I had been told to me years before... "when you turn 40 you either have an affair, change careers, or buy a fast car". My friend's wife told him "You can buy any car that you want when you hit 40!" I bought a '97 Cougar with HO package AND switched from Nikon SLR's to Nikon Rangefinders, got a Nikon S4 and SP. I am a wild and crazy guy...

Sorry, you've got that wrong.  Time is constant - it's you that's slowing down and time is passing you by, appearing to speed up.

It's taken me 70 years to figure that out.

I like to think I've just slowed down enough to enjoy it more :)!  Not that I didn't enjoy it before, but I think I'm enjoying and appreciating things more!!!
