PentaxForums has been running a monthly challenge where you take a shot each day of the month with your single lens of choice, and post to daily threads, for amusement, bragging, feedback or criticism.   It is called "Single in  <<current month>> challenge.   Worth a look.

I'm looking for expressions of interest here, it's a fun challenge, you get to know the lens very well, and via other peoples posts, you get to know their lenses too.

And you get to see (and shoot) some really creative shots.

If there is any interest, we could start in November, or December?

Jack.

Been thinking along these lines myself. Saves taking a pile of lenses along too!

I would love to get in on this. One of my favourite things about PF is the singles challenge.

Thanks shutter, Twanky, kfm and wired, it looks like we may have enough.

I'll try and set it up for a November start.

I'll also try to copy the PF format, where each day has its own thread, and you post a clickable link to your photo, so we can all comment on each others shots.

I'm thinking of using my D600 with my Sigma 35/1.4 lens for the month?

Jack

My D300 and either my 50mm f/1.4 or 14-24 f/2.8 I think.

Going to use my Zeiss 50 f1.4. Going to be shooting in the Pentax game too. Bridges will be my theme. I already got my month mapped out :)

Sounds like a fun challenge--am I interpreting it correctly that participants get to choose their own lenses?

Hi, and yes you are correct.   It can be a prime OR zoom, whatever you like!

This sounds fun! And like you say good for getting to know you lens. I'll probably use my D7000 with 55-200mm. I'm in!

I'm in :-). I'll probably use my 18-55mm on my D3200 just so I can get to know it. I favor the 55-200mm WAY too much. Then again, maybe I should just go with it and see where it takes me hehehe

Yeah, I love the idea.  I have been wanting to do a photo 365 (upload one best picture everyday for a year) for a while but didn't think I could finish my commitment for such a long time.  1 month sounds more doable.

Also, I'm not sure if you have the infrastructure to support it.  It will be super cool if I could see everyone's photos on a particular day also.  I think it will spark some interesting discussions.

Thanks everyone, I have messaged Adam, to see if we can set up somewhere to do the postings.

Typically, over at PentaxForums, participants post their photos either at flickr or on PF, and post links into the daily thread, and that way you just have to click the photo you want to comment on, and you are taken to the photos page where you can comment.   This makes it easier, as only photos appear in the daily thread, and it is much easier to view them all and comment.

Hopefully I can provide more details when I hear back from Adam.

Jack
