I just took this photo of my husband yesterday and while I LOVE it, he hates the darkness under his eyes. I tried lightroom and dodged it, but didn't want it to look 'fixed' in the final photo. Any suggestions??

The GIMP (free) is my prefered software for photo editing, In this case i would use the healing tool:

One could also use the Auto Retouch Brush from Nikon Capture NX2 ... however it will be a little bit more difficult.

Yep, fairly easy fix with some fill flash or with the healing brush or some localized lightening of the shadows in PS.

For future reference... this is where fill flash comes in very handy. Probably go with like a -2 at least on the flash power so the rest of the shot is not overwhelmed.

Photoshop is the best for these kind of situations...
You can always youtube or google for tutorials to learn how to do it all, it's not that hard really...
