A great, free stitching programme has been updated:

Computational Photography Applications - Microsoft Research

Sometimes this can stitch photos that Photoshop struggles with.

ICE stitches everything. Haven't grabbed the new one yet, but I did find it super easy to use. Sometimes I find Hugin works better. But basically everything is better than Photoshop.
