Sometime before midnight (whatever time zone you are in) this Sunday, 15 February 2015, post the best photo you have taken this week. Any subject, any style--just give us your best shot.

If you can, list your EXIF info and any special lighting setups you may have used.

We attended the 2015 Hoop Dance Championships, held each year at the Heard Museum in Phoenix, AZ.  This year they had competitors from all over the US and Canada.  A competitor can use as many hoops as he/she wants but must incorporate all of them in their routine.  Last year I was able to sit fairly close to the arena but this year the crowds were quite large so I was about 30 meters from the dancers.

D750, Sigma 24-105, A- 320,  A-f11, and auto iso (should have set it to 200-400).

The little girl(7) was 2nd in the Youth Div, and the man was 2nd in the Senior div.

This turned out better than I thought it was going to. I had this idea in my head on what I wanted to achieve but after taking the initial shots I didn't think I had it. But upon processing up the shot I have pretty much achieved what I was hoping for.

I haven't been to a wedding in a long time, I always love taking pictures at them. This one- took the Df with an AF-Nikkor 50/1.4, 85/1.8 Ai'd, and Nikkor-O 35/2 Ai'd. The latter was THE wedding lens of the late 60s and 70s.

This is ISO 25,600, Af-Nikkor 50/1.4, wide-open, 1/100th sec shutter speed. I was manually focusing, it was too dark for AF. This woman was with the DJ, and I could use the B/W pattern of her dress for manual focus. This is one of those times when a manual focus RF has an advantage, but I don't think Nikon will do a Digital SP. If they do, I am SO going to BUY ONE! I would love one with the monochrome version of the D4 sensor.

Good work again this week! Me…not so much. I think I did better with my iPhone last week. :) I had a few moments to snap our traditional red and pink Valentine's breakfast (the five-year-old loves it), but that's about it. Man, I hope I can get out of this photography slump soon...

First week in quite awhile that I haven't shot ANYTHING!  I was really looking forward to shooting my son's baseball team for their Opening Day game...unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and the games were canceled.  Other issues jumped in the way and caused me to not even get my camera out this week.  Hoping for better (any?) results for next week!

The weather here has really turned nasty. Everybody is either closed or closing for the day

Gorgeous shot, ignacior! More of that, please!

TBonz--I hope to see something from you next week. :) Even an iPhone shot…heh.

Here we are having the mildest winter I can remember...

Nicole,

I'll do my best!  Didn't even shoot any on the phone last week!  It sounds like I may have an opportunity to get some pix of our new house in the snow late today or tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have something!

Really great shots this week folks!
