Wow, hope you post that photo :)

 its not a spectacular photo , like the ones you have , just a back yard experimental shot. i hope to get into the city this weekend to capitalize on the city lights. :)

Not bad at all BonOlgirl. Was was you exposure time and aperture?

Thanks greatscott94! It was f/11, 25s, ISO200, 18-55mm@55mm AND with my adjustable HD filter.

Any details? How did you get the star effect from the lights? Just a very small aperture?

Exactly that alden, a small aperture (f18) and a 15 second shutter speed. This was of course tripod mounted with a Siuri Ball head and the shutter activated with the Yougnuo RF-603 trigger remotely (to reduce camera shake by not physically depressing the shutter button).
