Maybe other browsers do better, but I'm having a hard time seeing the model name superimposed on the photo of the thing in the listings.

Can you please post a screenshot and let me know what browser you're using?  That's not what it's supposed to look like and certainly not how I'm seeing it, but I should be able to fix it if it's a browser-specific problem.

Adam, I'm not too worried, it's my work browser, IE 8.

IE8, hmm, that's a really outdated browser.  I will go test things out now, but chances are that our skin doesn't support IE8.

Fixed!  If you see any other omissions or errors in the DB, please let me know, as even Nikon's specs sometimes have errors.

I just tested things out in IE8 and the site looks just fine (to my surprise).  Guess I'll be needing that screenshot after all!

Hey admin
Would be awesome if the lens reviews were split like on pentax forums. Zooms and primes . Site looks awesome, makes nikon seem even more appealing !
Cheers

Nesster,

Is it possible it isn't IE8 per say but a proxy you are going through at work? I know some sites can get a bit distorted when going through the likes of ISA Firewall and other proxying/firewall types of products.

The filters on the left side of the page are basically replacing the more rigid categorization.  Just select "zooms" and primes won't show up :)

Members Camera data base would be a nice inclusion to help track a camera body if stolen .

Cool idea, we have that over at PentaxForums.  Might be able to port it over here once the site gets a bit bigger.

Old School Nikon lenses' compatibility with newer Nikon D3200 digital camera.

Here are my Nikon lenses.

1. Nikon Series E 50mm 1:8

2. Nikon AF Nikkor 35~80mm 1:4~5.6D

3. Nikon AF Nikkor 28~105mm f/3.5~4.5D IF

4. Nikno AF Nikkor 70~210mm 1:4~5.6 non-D

I have done some extensive research for lens compatibility with Nikon Digitals and was unable to find anything that would help me.  Thanks for reading.  Tony

On the D3000/D5000 series, autofocus support is only available for AF-S/AF-I lenses, but metering should work with any D lens or newer.  In other words, 2, 3, and 4 will meter but not AF, while #1 offers no automation.  If you want "full" support, just buy a G-series lens (i.e. the 50mm F1.8G, 18-55mm F3.5-5.6G, 35mm DX F1.8G, etc.) and you'll be good to go :)
