Sometime before midnight (whatever time zone you are in) this Sunday, 21 September, post the best photo you have taken this week. Any subject, any style--just give us your best shot.

PS: If you can, list your EXIF info and any special lighting setups you may have used.

PPS: Don't forget to try out the editing mini-challenge!

I've been so busy, barely had chance to get any shots last few weeks. Spent the last few days on an exhibition, and using a D80 (works camera) I managed a few shots of some events occuring:

I like the fact I got his thumbs up - even though I didn't realise he was doing it.

Then I got a spare moment to myself, so I popped down to the beach and got these:

Not a spectacular shot but it is of a very rare 1977 Pontiac Le Mans 6.6L.

Car like this are one of the main reasons I love little home-town car shows. You just never know what's hiding out in some guy's barn!

You know, that's definitely awesome if you did actually take this. If you did, how?

Had the opportunity for taking a number of captures this week, but have still to filter and process most of them.

Shot this one on a small trip

Nice! It looks a little more lively than the last time I saw it.

That's awesome, man! I guess it just looked so far up in the sky i just didn't know. We're you on the ground? I'm really looking into getting a new lens for my D3200. Just not sure what to get. :/ I want to get one that has a pretty good zoom on it but it's not too bulky.

Philip, the shot was taken with installed lights, not flashes.
There were lights left and right of the camera, as well as two main spots on the left side of the hill (therefore you see a bit of the bushes, but didn't want to clone it out)
Due to an intermediate plateform on the stairs, the upper section didn't get lights from the two spots that were left&right from the camera, giving this special impression that the upper tower is a separate island in the dark.
This was even emphasized by the fact to use a f22, taking out minor reflected light on this upper section.

My nephew turned three and we got him a pedal car/tractor/digger.

gallery_1251_413_147722.jpg

Body: D700
Lens: Tamron 28-75/2.8
Aperture: f/2.8
Shutter: 1/2500
ISO:1600
Profile: D2X Mode3

I am getting to like the 28-75 more and more, my 24-70 is far from discreet and, according to both my brother's children, a bit scary.

I haven't been very creative the last two weeks, losing good friends has that effect... One funeral last week and the other this week. Then it is over and time to look forward again.
