Funny peculiar, do you upload straight into the thread? There are several ways of publishing your photos in a message, but I've only found one that makes them large... I made a blog post here with a how-to.

Not sure why my images are coming out so small on here.
Peter's info finally helped me figure it out. One other option...I know you're on Flickr too, so if you post the image there, you can get the BB code from Flickr and post it large here.
Rob, that's quite the character you captured there!

He was great and didn't mind at all. Think he was up for posing for more but I was on my way back to the office and didn't have time, would have loved to have used my 50mm and do a proper head shot though

Yeesh! I didn't get much done this week… Got to drag the shutter for this image though, so that was something, I guess.
This is about the only thing I did with my camera this week. Had an assignment to shoot a portrait of someone who didn't want his face to be recognizable.
D600, Nikkor 85mm 1.8G, f1.8, 1/6, ISO 200
For the rim lighting had a flash directly behind with the diffuser panel from my soft box draped over it. For a warm spotlight had a flash set at camera right and above with two MagMod grids and a straw gel. Also had an iPhone turned on and sitting in the laptop to emit a soft glow (the laptop is dead, but I needed it to look alive!). Finally, turned on a light above our stove to give a little light to the back of the laptop.

Shot college football yesterday and have been through only a small subset of the images so far...silly me forgot the card reader for anything other than the D600's SD cards on the trip and then spent 8+ hours driving home today...two big backups because of accidents made it a longer drive than usual...sat with the RV in Park for over 30 minutes in the second!
Yesterday was pretty cold, damp and cloudy at the field. My son's girl friend is one of the majorettes so as far as he was concerned, she was "my assignment" in her first game with the school...So first, some of the pre-game shots of her...all with my D4, 200-400, f4, ISO 1600...
200mm, 1/2000
200mm, 1/2000
400mm, 1/2000
The rider and horse lead the team out onto the field...
330mm, 1/2000
And yes, there was a football game...will try to get through them and post some more at some point...
400mm, 1/2000
Had to edit as the order of the photos was messed up on my first post...

Thanks Nicole - I managed to do just that but the source photo was so small it made little difference in this case. Thanks for the tip:)

Thanks Peter
I read your post thanks very much but think I'm missing something. I'm working from an iMac which has my finished photos in a file. Your instructions presuppose that I have an Options choice when I open the photo. I can't see that so I guess it depends what programme you are opening the image file in. Which programme are you referring to?

There is a step missing in the blog.
It should start by uploading the photo to the gallery space here on the site, sorry about that. I will update when I am on a usable browser...

Perfect - thanks very much - it worked a treat - my 14 September post above now has my original thumbnail and the much larger copy possible following your instructions. Thanks again.
