Good concept for a site, do you get much income form it?

It depends on what format the media buyer intends to use it with, but we arnt talking pennies here, an average picture gets me anything from £30 - £45 and some work can bring in £150..

But its getting the shots that networks want is the hard work, most of my past work was in conflict zones but i had to stop as i was putting myself in extreme danger, Problem is when your behind the lens you forget what goes on around you and just get the pictures, then sometimes you take your eye of the viewfinder and theres hundreds of people some armed wondering what the hell im doing.. Yikesss time to go home.. lol

Ge neral life everyday stories can sometimes bring great rewards and with todays technology we are all possible street journalists what with mobiles etc being what they are, look at news channels these days, theres so many more eye witness mobile phone footage than normal stuff.

You ideally need to be out working non stop covering story after story, its pretty much a full time job but part time  pay.. but it has its rewards from time to time//

So you need to write bit of a story with it, or will they pick up just a photoa nd caption?

Can't see much demand for it here for local media, and I guess it would have to be pretty newsworthy for anyone overseas to pick up.

you would be surprised just what news is news, dont forget its not just newsworthy stuff, general stuff that magazines etc can use sells as well.. As for stories, just a few lines detailing the event or news and photos are captioned as a ''say what you see' format..

atRUST ME, ITS WORTH A GO, ITS NOT JUST NEWS, MANY MAGAZINES WOULD SEARCH THE SITE WITH A SPECIFIC WORD FOR THEIR SUBJECT.. IVE HAD WORK THAT i put up a year ago still selling.. And any work you do can be picked up worldwide..

Nice work, Mark!

My daughter is going to college for journalism, with possible photojournalism minor.

Nice shots.  Those Garda guys seem a bit pepper spray happy or was it really getting out of hand?
