Congrats!  It would basically come down to whether you or your company owned the copyright and what permissions you have "given" them if you own the copyright.  I have provided images to local papers on occasion and one of my requirements is always a photo credit.

I agree Russ!  It is a difficult balance...I have provided images (with credit) and had that turn into paid opportunities and I've done the same only to have them search out another free source if I ask for money...in both cases however, I was doing the photography in support of the local school and did make some money from the sale of individual photos via their being posted to my site or a web magazine previous to their requests...
