I was getting the car washed.
This is a crop from the original image, which was color. I used PS4 to convert it, and added a blue filter, and it turned silver.
I must check out PS4 image editing, as that's a cool shot.

Actually had a chance to get out and play with the new flash today. I have been looking at this face on the tree for a while going, "I know there is a picture in there somewhere." However, have not been able to find it. Well tonight I took the flash out with a 1" soda straw grid and this is what I got. Still think there is better in there, but this is at least interesting.

Well, I'm hoping to post better by the end of Sunday, but time may not allow it, so I'm posting this now as I don't want to miss my chance!
I was actually doing a couple of test photos with my 24-70 and then decided to take a few pix of the Momma Rabbit that has been watching her nest in our front yard over the last several days...
D600, 24-70, ISO 3200, 70mm, f5.6, 1/160...
My plan was to check how clean my sensor is (it isn't) but saw the rabbit and took a few pix...
This week I'm ZenShot with D800 - 85mm Lens
Another great shot, love the composition and lighting in this one.
All pictures were taken today (6-27-2014) at Leesylvania State Park, Woodbridge, VA, USA with a D5100 55-200mm lens
1- Osprey taking flight from it's nest
f7.1 1/800 ISO-200 200mm focal length
2- Blue Heron trying to be sneaky
f5.6 1/500 ISO-360 200mm focal length
3- Large bullfrog hiding in the reeds
f5.6 1/400 ISO-400 200mm focal length
Edit: Pictures are in reverse order after uploading.
PS - I have thick skin. Feel free to critique any of my stuff. I'm trying to get back into photography after a 20+ year absence. I'm all ears!
I'm lucky if I've taken 10 photos during the past 2 weeks. However, I did just find a series I shot 10 years ago, in an abandoned school facility for the mentally challenged. I had some low resolution scans of the medium format prints and decided to post them on my website. Lots of weird color tints and light reflections, some of it from scanning prints on a flatbed scanner. However, some of the spooky lighting and things are really in the original shots.

They are taken mid-day with completely overcast sky
Here I am late again…
My husband was helping me set up the sprinkler for a photo shoot later in the evening, and I caught my daughter running through these lovely light rays as she played in the sprinkler.

Great pictures Nicole. The one of your daughter is fantastic, I love the sun rays being captured with the water, and she looks like she's having great fun too.
I didnt manage to get any shots at all this week. I always feel like i'm missing the party if I dont post anything. All great shots submitted this week though...well done all.

Lesson learned, there's always a bigger monster out there.
Nbanjogal,
Cute kid, you can see the joy, my daughter wants that shirt. Nice effect with the sprinklers.
Sharon and Serge,
You guys have talent for stock photography.
Is it my imagination, or are we seeing more and more free, creative ideas in these challenges? People seem to dare to think more outside the box and break the rules than when we started out.
I hope so. I like that kind of thing.
A lot.
