Hi All

Does anyone have any useful photography apps?

I'm kind of looking for things that of assistance, not editing or goofy things. For example, a sunrise/set app - So I can see times and places - someting like that.

Anything of interest is welcome!

Thanks in advance.

PS - I'm on IPhone.

PhotoCalc from Adair Systems has three parts: DOF calculator, Flash calculator and a Solar calculator. There is also a reference section. I like it and have used it for some years now.

Then there is Easy Release by ApplicationGap for electronic handling of model releases. It is not the most intuitive to set up, but works well in use on either iPad or iPhone.

I agree with both of those...I also have a light meter app - never had need to use it but it is one of those nice to have just in case...another is Nikon Manual Viewer which allows you to have manuals for all your gear (camera or flash) on your phone or pad...I've used those a few times when I wanted to look up how to do something I don't do that often...

Informational, there is a Nikon Lens app which basically just gives you specs on lenses and links to reviews...might not be too useful...also a Learn and Explore app from Nikon that might be nice for some reading if you want to read from phone or pad...

I use the Photographer's Ephemeris for sunrise/sunset and moonrise/moonset information.

I also use Stellarium and Starwalk to plot Milky Way locations and Dark Sky Finder to find good locations for shooting night skies.

I hear there is another app out these that does all of this, but I don't know what it is.
