I am hoping to shoot some videos with my D800e this summer and was wondering what microphone anyone would recommend for this. I am hoping to shoot video of bears and birds of prey for this. Also would have to be able to be a little wind resistant if possible.

Its a good shotgun mic for dslr's

You should also get a deadcat windshield to cut out most of the wind

Upham got this one right.  That is what I use also.  Quick, simple and onboard.
