Sometime before midnight (whatever time zone you are in) this Sunday, 25 May, post the best photo you have taken this week. Any subject, any style--just give us your best shot.

PS: If you can, list your EXIF info and any special lighting setups you may have used.

I would have had a nice macro shot of a dragonfly here, but when I ran to get my lens, he was gone. Otherwise, looks like everyone is off to a slow start this week.

Gorgeous horses.  Nice DOF in that shot.

Brilliant! I love the processing on that image. And it looks like a little spider has made his home next to the urn. :)

Cool shot.  I didn't know that they came out with a fish-eye.  Their new standard zoom looks impressive also, 16-50 2-2.8.  The NX300 looks like a bargain with the 45/1.8 lens.  I'll look forward to seeing some more of your NX images.

Strange, but getting another in early!  I still have more shooting to go this week, but I think I'm going to have a tough time beating one of these two.

First from baseball on Monday night...

D600, 200-400 at 200mm, ISO 180, 1/1000, f4

Baseball-4762.jpg

The runner was picked off second base, so he took off for third.  You can see the tag in the photo, but a frame or two later, he lost the ball from his glove as it hit the ground.  Runner was safe at third.

Second from lacrosse on Tuesday night...

D600, 200-400 at 200mm, ISO 3200, 1/1000, f4

Lax-28833.jpg

Lacrosse is a rough sport, especially on those who take a close shot on goal...yes, this one was a penalty - you can't hit them in the head!

Russ - nice shot!  I hope to be shooting some rugby this weekend!

Yours are both crackers too, the dive looks great, and although it's on the wrong side from us, we can see the angle of that helmet ain't right!

Shouldn't that tag count anyway?
