I know as a non-premium member, I have a limit on the size of my gallery.  When I upload a picture in a thread, does that count against my quota, or is it just stuff in my gallery?

If I have understood correctly, standard membership gives 20Mb for attachments and 20 Mb for galleries. Premium members have 300 Mb for attachments and unlimited galleries. There is a thread about this here.

OK.  So is there a place where we can see where we stand on our data usage?

PS.  At only 20 Mb for attachments, I am suprised I have not already gone over.

Yes, it's 20mb in each section, so 40Mb total.  I don't believe there's a page showing your current usage, which is a shame as we do have one over on PF.  But you will get a notice once you've over the quota.

Something I've wondered about--when we post an image hosted on another source like Flickr, does that count as part of our quota?

And Eagle, how do you resize your images? I leave mine full size when I put them on Flickr, but when I want to post them directly here or on my blog, I resize so that they range from 250-800 KB.

I had not been resizing them, but obviously I need to start.
