I agree. The strong diagonal of the shoulders and neck is continued by the sightline making it a powerful portrait indeed.
Thanks for the comments, i'm starting to feel confident in my portraiture work, still a long way from where I want tro be but it's all about the learning. I really need/want to do some proper in studio shots with male and female models but funds and time are limted at the moment. I'll continue to take some candid shots of co workers and ask random passers by to help out...,
