Early again! I don't think I'm going to have much time for shooting this week, so I'll just assume this will be my best shot. :)

Back in the game, think this might be my best and only shot this week. Cropped pic to remove excess sky and give more pleasing look to the picture

Thanks Nicole, I'd been passing this for several days I couldn't wait to get back and photograph there. Spring has sprung in Scotland.

Spring has finally arrived here!

Body: Kodak DCS 760
Lens: 24/2.8 AF
Aperture: f/8
Shutter: 1/40
ISO: 80

I couldn't resist dusting off the old beast to get those Kodak colours for this sea of Scilla Siberica behind the garage.

Peter that looks remarkably like a type of swamp flower we have here.

It's like a lily, and thrives in very damp conditions.

Thanks Nicole! These colours, just after some rain are difficult to reproduce with modern sensors. Kodak didn't see the need to protect the blue channel from overexposing, so there is much more information in the raw file. Overall the files from any of the DCS bodies are a joy to work with if you used and liked Velvia or Ektachrome VS in the film days.

It's like a lily, and thrives in very damp conditions.

It is a siberian squill in english and is a bulb flower that seems to grow in most conditions, from sand to mulchy soil and from direct sun to full shadow.

Sadly, still no spring here yet.  Not one leaf, flower, or bud. :(

It's early summer here now. This is in a patch of woods nearby.

Nicely caught moment.
