3 seems to be a favorite. Funny thing about that too -- I did not even see that web until after I downloaded these on the laptop.

It's a pretty extreme crop job.

Great b&w set, Alden!

You really captured the early morning feel.

Fine use of selective focussing!

Nice Alden, yeah no.3 for me too.
Of course that's not really very south!

I think the last is my favorite although I like them all...there are also parts of the US that don't consider your area "The South"...mostly the states directly north and west of you :)

Florida is a crazy hybrid state. The rural areas in the north and the heart of the peninsula are very southern, some even look like Mississippi or Louisiana, but the extreme south and the big cites are not. Miami is like NYC and Cuba and PR combined. Orlando is a true melting pot, and so is Tampa.

Alden - great description of the state...haven't spent much time in the panhandle or the southwest coast, but I've been around and about most of the rest of the state a time or two...have family in both the Orlando and Tampa areas...

Oh, and by the way, some of those folks don't consider Virginia as part of "The South" either...I've had some interesting conversations with folks about that over the years...I believe most of those conversations start with "If you are from Virginia, then you're a Yankee!" and end up with me providing a brief history lesson regarding the Civil War and pointing out how long ago that it happened...:)
