Rumors: Nikon D800 refresh instead of D4x - Nikon Rumors

Higher: ISO
More FPS

This would be a nice camera, if this is true I hope we don't have to wait to long for the release. Not that I am not happy with my D800e, but improvement to an already great camera would be awesome.  :D

Also I would hope that it has 2 SD slots instead of one.

  • No low pass (AA) filter (just like the D800E)
  • Improved software to suppress moirĂ©
  • Expeed 4 imaging processor
  • sRAW
  • Same AF improvements like in the D4s
  • Improved low light capabilities
  • 5 fps (6fps with the MB-D12)
  • Price between D800 and D800E - probably around $3000
  • No firm announcement date yet - my guess is Photokina (September 2014) or CES (January 2015)

sRAW is interesting, the files of the D800(E) are just too big for me

Based on the changes Nikon has made to the D4s, an updated version of the D800 wouldn't be any surprise to me at photokina :)

Can't get to Nikon Rumors here at work...will check it out later...I would hope they bump fps more than the 600...I expect the second SD slot would almost be a requirement...more big files will require more space...hoping it comes in with the right specs for me and it might end up being a better choice than the D4S for me...better meaning I might be able to upgrade sooner...I know the D4 or D4S is where I SHOULD go!

I'd prefer a D700s or D710.
