Found some steel wool while cleaning, figured with all this snow on the ground, we'd have some fun with it.  My wife took the pictures, and I spun the wool...only once did I have to go stick my head in a snow bank LOL...safety glasses and a hard hat are a must if you try this.

This is something I've always wanted to try--fun photos! (And thanks for the heads up on the safety gear. :) )

I have not come across this technique before, due you stick the steel wool in petrol? How do you do it? Echo comment about Nicole reference the safety gear.

Tony,  PM'd you some more details. I know all this is out there on the internet, but just don't want to post it where someone might see it and try without appropriate gear. Sparks flew for even further than I expected.

So safety gear might need to include a fire extinguisher!

A very good idea if everything isn't covered in snow and ice :).

Hi, do you think you could PM me some info as well.  Looks like a lot of fun but i've never tried anything like this.

Thanks,

Ian.
