Hi,

I searched a bit on the internet and I can not find the exact and precise answer to that : Does the autofocus of the Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 DXII will work on my D5100 ?

Please help me, because this look like a good lens but I'm a bit lost with all the incompatible autofocus lenses with this camera...

Thank you :)

It has an AF-motor built in, so it works.

Yepper, the DXII has a motor so it should work just fine with the D5100.

Here a good resource that discusses this: http://www.kenrockwe.../11-16mm-ii.htm

How about with the D7100?

The lens mount on your D7100 is not crippled, so you can use any Nikon F compatible lens made after 1977 with the lens' full capabilities. The problem with the simpler models is the lack of a focus motor.
