I own a Nikon D90 to wich I have attached a GP-1 GPS device.

At the beginning alll went pretty smooth, but lately the divece seems not to function maybe because the conector  at the camara seems to be malfunctioning.

The question is: ¿what can I do to fix this annoying problem? Please dont say that I should change my camera.... that is not possible!

You could try cleaning the contacts with Iso Propyl Alcohol, or a good industrial contact cleaner, otherwise I am afraid it needs to be sent in for service. If you have to send it in, send the GP-1 as well so that the technician can try the combination and not just the body.

If you know someone who has the same GPS unit or a Nikon body, you might try their GPS on your camera or your GPS on their camera to see if you can isolate which item is experiencing the problem.  Merco is correct about the cleaning - just hoping that isolating the problem will tell you what needs fixing before you send the gear in (assuming the cleaning doesn't fix the problem)...
