We'd like to congratulate all of our winners and wish the best of luck to the participants of last month's "water" contest, which you can rate and comment on in our gallery. Voting for our December photo contest winners will commence in about two weeks.

For a shot at the same great prizes this month, visit our January "Birds" photo contest.

Very happy to be placed runner up and I thank you for your votes, I do hope that in future competitions there will be no nonsense with people voting for their own photos thousands of times like they did on this competition.

Congrats!

When I viewed the images yesterday there were very few votes for each image. Admittedly I voted for my image (once), but also the other runners up as well as one of the spider macros (#5). I wish I could still see the votes as I think there were 16 for my image...

Edit: I just found the voting page and I don't see 1000's of votes for anyone. Would be interested in knowing how you're coming to your conclusion regarding the voting process.

If there is a way to do that, I would be surprised.

I seriously don't think that's possible. You'd have to create multiple accounts to swing the tide of votes and that is easily "verifiable" from an admin standpoint.

Given that there were 16 entries and a grand total of 59 votes out of the 2000+ possible members... it seems legit to me. Hardly people voting for their own photo "thousands of times".

If there was evidence of shenanigans there'd be more raised eyebrows then just by the second place runner-up who missed 1st place by 1 vote. Frankly, your statement smacks of poor sportsmanship.

Sorry but I did not make it clear that it was not the votes that were voted on but the views that the photo was having, one photo had thousands of views created by the owner of the photo just clicking on it, and it was several people who were doing this, I apologise for not getting this statement right.
