Stopped by a local shop today to see what kind of used goodies they had...Mostly looking, but I was hoping to find either a wide angle (prime or zoom) or maybe an inexpensive all-in-one zoom as an "extra" lens. I ended up picking up a used AFS DX 18-135 f/3.5-5.6 IF-ED. When I got home, I threw it on my D7000 to see how it did and grabbed a couple of random pix of our pup who was the only available subject in the room. Just quick edits in iPhoto - just wanted to give a quick test to see that it was performing correctly...
Obviously didn't worry too much about background and was using the built-in flash for the pix, but pretty happy with the lens quality for what I paid for it and what it will be used for.
