I occasionally check some local sale sites, Craigslist, Market place, etc. I find Canon and Nikon in about even numbers with an with Canon usually being the Rebel model and 90% of the Nikons being D3200 with a few D3000, D3300, D3400 and an occasional D40 or D70. The D40 and D70 go for about $100. The D3000 series is all over the place from $139-$350. Is there a reason so many people want to get rid of the 3000 series?

D3200 & D3300 - I like them.
I have one of each. One stays in the car, just I go out without something else.
The other one gets used for macro & holidays, when I don't want to take an arm full of equipment.
The dynamic range of them is poor, making them unusable in low light conditions.
