I am looking for a second hand Nikon D5, it was not a secret, next Friday 24th I have an appointment in Barcelona to check one Nikon D5 XQD with 200k shoots and near mint appearance.

It comes with extras :

3 XQD cards, 2x128gb, 1x32gb.

Sony XQD card reader original boxed

2 batteries Nikon original En-el18a

And the double battery charger, original box with all the things... and strap D5 etc...

Price 1700 Euro. About $1800

If all it's OK, I will buy it for sure. I think It's fair price, it comes with expensive extras that I need like the XQD cards and the card reader Sony and the owner don't do video, and only one owner very important factor.

If finally is mine, I will add any samples photos here. Like I do with D3 and D3s.

I will need a big table

Use the floor and stand on a chair.

I can fit my gear on a TV tray and like it that way.

Better, I will do more than one photo

Using different cameras.... maybe it's the solution, in a small apartment the floor is full of things too.

And I will try to upload 24th or 25th November photos taken by Nikon D5.

I just bought Nikon D5, everything is OK, and the 2 batteries are life 0 and original Nikon.

I ordered an easy cover yellow on Amazon for my new camera D5 ;)

Confused here.

What is 'life 0'?

What is 'easy cover yellow'?

Life 0 is a way of saying ”as new” as the battery life monitor goes from 0 when new to 4 when it is time to replace the battery.

Easy Cover is a well-known brand of silicone covers.

I think I would have gone the opposite route and used some gaffers tape on the Nikon nameplate. A yellow cover practically screams "Steal Me!"

I look really pretty bad, I look like more like a thief than thieves, I am a short dangerous Mexican woman, I think the yellow silicon is funny, and it seems the camera is cheap or a toy. Like a big lemon or Pikachu.

I used military colors "easy cover" for Nikon D4, and it was nice. ^_^

And I will use a Nikon Professional Strap NPS, yellow and blue, not the D5 strap that seems never used with its factory plastic.

So the combo would be funny. :P

My appearance with my new Nikon D5.  A mix of Gollum and scary Latina girl. Nobody will try to steal me.

I am very happy with the deal, the Nikon D5 still a great camera today and not too many differences between D6 that really must should rename as Nikon d5s , the differences are less than D3 and D3s or D4 and D4s seriously, D5 vs D6 great differences are connectivity Wi-Fi etc...not ISO or MPX that are the same.

4 years for minor changes.WTF!

I suppose that if the D6 label as D5s nobody will buy it, so marketing decision it was the D6 name is better for sale it.

D6 is the last one as F6 in analogic, so always will be expensive in second hand market, I started to found any close $3500- $4000 twice than D5 price.

My personal Nikon camera hunting stops for a while, but if I found a cheap D4s I would tempt to buy it.... Df always I considered an interesting one but need to be in good shape because it's a collector item, and some photographs used as work horse and destroy the outside cosmetic appearance, devaluing too much and the sale price don't reflex it.

I will focus to acquire forgotten bizarre lens as always
