I thought your 'hooter' shots were very good. The lighting was also very good.
Do you know what the venue is like with regard to lighting?

that the issue since do not drive. can not get to place to take test shot ahead time. also i know guy for years does indoors outdoors and many other place. so it came out of blue. the last hooter event the person i know is good photographer. so use her lighting to get pictures since she had lighting setup. also since been so long done something like that my mind goes nuts. since have to re check or and not recall how to set stuff up. if i do not do something over and over all time. i will forget how to do something.

Yes, I know the feeling Chris.
I doubt the act will want flash going off during performance, so available light only.
Maybe contact the venue & ask what stage lighting they have?

Chris, I really hate to say this, but if I were you I would politely turn this gig down. There are simply too many unknowns involved, and if the guy is paying he's going to (rightfully) expect results. He's not going to want to hear about lighting problems, etc. I'm not saying you can't do it. What I've seen of your work is good. Especially, the aforementioned Hooters gig.
But this gig sounds different. If it were me, I'd probably turn it down as well. It reminds me of a wedding I did long ago. It was a cluster frack*. I wouldn't wish that abuse on anyone.
