I bought my 1st SLR in 1974 (primitive Kalimar) and I was hooked on the platform from the start. I stumbled upon a Nikkormat and a couple of lenses in a pawn shop in the early 1980s and I became smitten with this little gem of a camera and my journey with Nikon began.
Since then I have owned several Nikon SLRs and after finding a Nikon 995 in a pawn shop in 2001, I discovered the joy of instant results through a digital lens and started a journey of shooting DSLRs.
My current favorite go-to cameras are a Df and a Zfc (I love the traditional look of the analogs)...and when I decide to shoot analog, I usually turn to my F-501, EL or FE2, though my Nikkormats and Nikkorex F are ready to go also.
I never got into the F platform...my traveling buddy used an F2, and later an F3, but I always felt it was too big and heavy, especially traveling by motorbike.
