I am running Windows 11 64 Bit Desktop, with 12 GB of Ram and 2.8Ghz i5 Processor. I believe I have a decent amount of storage space on my HD and external drive.

I installed NX Studio 1.3.1 and I like it.

That said, after I have made adjustments to several photos - which I am then able to save, the program prevents me from saving adjustments to images.  By that I mean the "save" or "save as" option is greyed out.

I close out of the program and sometimes restart my computer and/or the program and the ability to do a save or safe as appears visible as an option again.  But, then after a few more saves, it disappears as an option.  So, I have to close and restart the program again.

I have checked to see if other programs are running - as maybe they were taking needed resources away. I tried uninstalling and re-installing NX Studio several times and that has not alleviated the problem.  I did not have this issue on a previous version of NX Studio.

Firstly, has anyone else had this issue? Secondly, I realize there might be several reasons for my issue, but does anyone have any suggestions for a few preliminary things I might consider adjusting or tweaking to resolve my "save" dilemma?

Thanks.

Hello Jonathan

The 'save' & 'and save as' feature are also greyed out on my version as well.

However, if click the 'export' button - top right, a dialogue box will appear.

This will allow you to select the folder to export to, and change the name of the file according to requirements.

The file type can also be selected as .jpg TIFF(8 bit) or TIFF (16 bit).

Thank you Pete.  Much appreciated.   I will use that option.

If you're unable to save adjusted images in NX Studio 1.3.1, there could be several possible causes. Here are a few things you can try:

  • Check your file permissions
  • Check the file format
  • Check the file size
  • Make sure that you have the latest version of NX Studio installed.
  • In some cases, corrupted preferences can cause issues with saving images. Try resetting the preferences by going to Edit > Preferences > Reset All Preferences.
  • Try Export to save it to TIFF format.
