My Camera Club / Flickr Mate RICHARD took me to meet his friend JOHN at Stanford-le-Hope Essex ( England) and he has MASSES of CAMERAS all on racks, in boxes etc etc and 14 LEICAS !  So I had a Play with some LEICA cameras - most had sticking shutters through Non-Use as he never actually USES the cameras !  I showed him some darkroom LEICA PRINTS and he was after my 1986 M6 !   As we were leaving  I noticed a  load of NIKONS  on a rack and had  a play with a FM2n then he said I could HAVE a F65 ( BOXED MINT BODY ! ) as he was " Fed Up With Carting It To Camera Fairs" so I jumped at the chance -- so now I have a F65 to got with my F75 also a 'Gift' from a Widow Lady !! I  have tested  it with outdated KODAK GOLD 200 rated 100 ASA and home-processed in C41. and will show a few snaps --

Hello Peter, it constantly amazes me to see the prices of Nikon film cameras on ebay.

I think your description of the chap that gave you the F65 explains why this situation may be happening - collectors, not users!
