I found the last two items on my "list" on eBay, and have made the buys.

A near-mint Billingham System 1 camera bag (beige).  I would've liked to have found Olive Drab, but wasn't going to pass up this bag, in this fine condition, at a price a good $100 less than it's similarly listed peers.

*and*

A very minty RMC Tokina 17mm f/3.5 manual focus, rectilinear wide angle lens.  I once owned it's twin.  It's a lens whose language I speak, and I can't wait to become reacquainted with another of the line.

So now, I'm down to small bits, such as a cleaning kit, spare batteries and other such that'll go in the bag.

The only bad news now, is I'll have no lack of equipment on which to blame my mediocrities!  LOL

Seriously though.  I'll be posting more in the days and weeks ahead.

Thank you one and all for your friendship, help, encouragement and yes, CRITIQUE!

Is it a System 1 or a Hadley One you have found? The System 1 was a everything and the kitchen sink bag that went out of production 40 years ago. The Hadley One is a nice, compact bag for a body and one to four lenses or so.

One small thing that can make a huge difference in post is a Colorchecker Passport. If your editing software supports this little gadget, you will soon produce photos with very high colour fidelity.

Merco.  It's a vintage System 1, nearly mint, for barely over $100.  Couldn't pass it up, and if I don't like it, someone will surely want it for what I'd paid for it.

And I'll look for that Colorchecker Passport.  Any recommended sources to find it/buy it?

As always.... Thanks!

The System 1 is a great bag, if you want to carry a full set of primes covering 20-200 mm and two bodies or the trinity and a body. It can be configured to carry a body, about four normal-sized lenses and recording equipment for interviews in the main compartment and speedlites in the side pouches if that is your need. It is probably a bit big for a Df, 17 mm prime, normal zoom and consumer class telezoom. OTOH, it will conform to your body and pull back instead of to the side when it isn’t packed full.
I use my 335 or even the 106 more than I do the 550 these days. I think a 335 or 307 would be ideal for the size of kit you want to carry.

When shopping for a Colorchecker, whether you want the passport or a full-size chart, try to get one from a dealer that sell them and not only stock them. The pigments in the reference swabs age in storage and one that has been sitting on a shelf won’t be accurate for as long as a fresh one, straight from the supplier.
