1/60s, F/5.6, ISO 100, Manual Priority Mode with CWA Metering.  F/L 200mm.

That is an incredible capture, at that focal length, with that ISO & shutter speed.  

 

Great all around photo, in and of itself, too.  There's a story in there I think, about how your vantage point was so well above the eagle?

Hello Jim_TX,

 

My vantage point was actually a very high cliff and this guy must have caught an updraft as he just appeared right before the shutter actuation.  You are 

correct in that with the shutter speed used, I was not prepared for an action shot.  I kept the ISO Low due to the day being one of some very harsh sunlight.
